Home Air Quality

Clean Air IonsMuch like sunlight does in the atmosphere, Clean Air Partners technology produces a natural bio-climate rich in active oxygen molecules. Our system creates a measurable and controllable quantity of negative and positive oxygen ions. These activate the naturally present oxygen molecules, which form clusters of 10 to 60 molecules. This raises the air's ability to free electrons from the oxygen molecules. These electrons interact with pollutants and break their molecular structures into less harmful ones. Typically, one to two million clusters per liter are formed when air passes over the Clean Air Partners equipment. Room air is enriched when these clusters interact with the stale air in the room. The reactivated oxygen molecules immediately begin to disinfect the air (bacteria, mold spores) by penetrating the split zone and neutralize odors (VOCs*, chemical compounds) by restructuring the molecules. Also, particles are controlled as oxygen clusters cling to them and add weight, dropping them to the floor. All of this is accomplished without resorting to harmful ultraviolet light, chemical additives or the introduction of ozone.

In addition to the above, our system provides the following benefits:

  • Sterilization - As they divide in the split zone, bacteria and mold spores bond with active oxygen molecules and are oxidized and destroyed. The bacteria and spores can no longer multiply.
  • Odor Neutralization - Odorous gases and aerosols oxidize on contact with active oxygen molecules. Odors, especially of an organic origin, are quickly eliminated.
  • Health Benefits - Human and animal lungs absorb oxygen much more efficiently from clean ionized air, enhancing general health and well-being. Alertness and concentration is improved.

Bentax Products

Bentax products control mold growth and reduce smoke, dust, pollen and pet dander which contribute to sinus problems, headaches and allergies. Bentax products also neutralize odors and eliminate VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

About Bentax

Bentax's roots go back to the early 1900s and involve one of the great scientists of our time: Albert Einstein. Einstein's sister was suffering from tuberculosis, and the treatment at the time was to relocate to a higher altitude. So, on doctor's orders, she was admitted to a hospital situated high up in the Alps. Sure enough, she recovered from this illness.

Einstein was not willing to accept that mountain air is healthier than air at lower altitudes. Being naturally curious, he wanted to know why. He and his friend and colleague, Conrad Habicht, were able to measure the oxygen ion count in air. They found that there were more activated oxygen ions at higher altitudes than at lower altitudes.

With this knowledge, they collaborated on a device called a potential multiplier which was able to reproduce the electricity naturally occurring in air. This invention laid the foundation for the modern science of bioclimatology.

Einstein and Habicht patented the technology in 1947 and went on to form the Bentax Company based on the discovery the two men had made. It is this very same technology that the Bentax system applies today.

VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) Control - Healthier conditions exist by breaking down VOC off-gases. These gases are present where there is carpeting, building materials, furniture, office equipment, cleaning agents, paints, glues, solvents or pesticides.
